N.Y.-based health system's IT chief on CPOE adoption

The adoption of computerized physician order entry systems by physicians "is going to really be a hard one to push" because of hectic schedules of doctors, said Jane Beechler, IT director at Wyoming Community Health System. In this interview, Beechler stressed the importance of communicating with doctors and being persistent in pushing for the implementation of CPOE systems.
