Canada will begin enforcing 5% biofuel mandate by mid-December

Canada will start implementing a policy requiring 5% biofuels in the country's fuel supply by mid-December. "Regulating renewable-fuel content in gasoline is just one of several steps the government is taking to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions in the transportation sector, which account for about a quarter of greenhouse-gas emissions," said Jim Prentice, Canada's minister of the environment.
