Changing demand blurs the line between a snack and a meal

Restaurant chains have been building on the success of snack menus, serving time- and cash-strapped consumers with more substantial noshes that can double as a meal, The Wall Street Journal reports. From McDonald's Snack Wraps to boxes of lobster bites at Long John Silver's and mini-sandwiches at Popeyes, KFC and Culver's, menus are increasingly adapting to snacking trends as well as providing smaller options that can be combined to create a full lunch or dinner.
