Airlines impose fare increases of up to $10

Delta Air Lines, Continental Airlines and US Airways have raised last-minute ticket fares on certain U.S. routes by as much as $10 per round trip. Analysts say the rise was caused by a perceived increase in demand for business travel, which usually uses last-minute tickets, and note that tickets requiring advanced booking favored by leisure travelers did not see fare increases.
