Calif. Assembly OKs bill to speed $1.2B NFL stadium in L.A.

The California Assembly voted to pass a measure that would expedite the environmental appeals process for a proposed $1.2 billion football stadium in downtown Los Angeles. Supporters say the legislation could help speed up the project, which is expected to generate 12,000 full-time jobs during construction, according to Assembly Speaker John Perez. The measure now heads to the state Senate.
