German court rejects lawsuits against euro-zone rescues

The Federal Constitutional Court, Germany's top court, dismissed three lawsuits questioning the legality of the country's participation in euro-zone rescue efforts. The ruling clears the way for Germany to participate in rescues for Greece, Portugal and other troubled nations. However, the court said parliamentary approval is needed for payouts.
