Pfizer partners to boost veterinary drug sales in China

Pfizer said Thursday it has formed a joint venture with Chinese startup Jilin Guoyan Animal Health Co. as part of a push to boost veterinary medicine sales of drugs to prevent or treat illnesses common to animals in China. The companies plan to start marketing the first drug, a vaccine against a reproductive and respiratory condition in pigs, next year.
