Regulators expand inquiry into possible LIBOR manipulation

Regulatory authorities in the US and elsewhere are broadening their inquiry into whether LIBOR, as well as Tokyo's version, TIBOR, were manipulated during the financial crisis. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is looking into whether traders colluded with banks' treasury departments as they made bets on future currency rates, sources said.
