Work continues on $3.8B WTC Transportation Hub

The $3.8 billion transportation center on the site of the new World Trade Center features "bathtub" excavation and construction. The "bathtub" is a slurry wall protecting the new towers from surrounding river water, while the hub's "Oculus" will serve as the main access point to commuter rail at the new hub. The station is scheduled to open in mid-2014.
