N.J. district's "moment of reflection" policy draws attention of ACLU

Officials with the American Civil Liberties Union in New Jersey say they will closely monitor a new policy recently approved by the Lakewood school board to require a "moment of reflection" each day in school. Federal courts have struck down similar policies on school-led prayer and moments of silence, which some attorneys argue could lead to the violation of the separation of church and state, leaving the district vulnerable to court action.
