Restaurants, retailers jump on 'local' bandwagon

More restaurants and big retailers including Wal-Mart and Whole Foods are capitalizing on the farm-to-fork craze by providing more local produce and meats, writes Christopher Doering. "When people come in on a weekend, I can tell them my whole menu, what is all in there and where it comes from," said Suman Hoque, owner of HoQ Restaurant in Des Moines, Iowa, which features products from 40 local farms.
