Katy Phillips, in September 2001, was starting a new job at Merrill Lynch that put her just 200 yards away from the World Trade Center in New York City. Phillips, now a math teacher at Brentwood High School in Pittsburgh, shares her personal account of the sights, sounds and feelings of Sept. 11 with students. "To them it's a historical event," said David Radcliffe, principal of Brentwood Middle School, where Phillips has spoken to sixth-grade social studies classes. "To see someone that teaches in our building that was there makes it real for them."
