Utah elementary school's PLC focuses on student learning, teacher collaboration

The professional learning community leadership team at Heritage Elementary School in the Washington County School District in Utah includes the school's principal, a Title I specialist and a staff developer. The team's head members and leaders meet weekly to discuss student progress, set goals and, if needed, set interventions to improve student learning. The program aims to, among other things, create a culture in which all teachers are working together.
