Denver elementary school staff crosses a new threshold

The entire staff of Fairview Elementary School has pledged to visit their pupils' homes, located in Denver's poorest neighborhood, before and after school hours throughout the school year. The visits by principal, secretaries and teachers working in pairs are designed to draw parents into the school community and help the staff more fully appreciate their students' lives.
