Airlines see growth in cargo shipments

U.S. airlines carried 2.9% more traffic in July, thanks largely to international shipments, according to figures from the Air Transport Association. International cargo shipments grew 5.3% for the month and 6% for the year to date. Domestic shipments were flat following two consecutive months of steep declines. For the first seven months of the year, domestic cargo traffic is down 0.9%.
