North Carolina firm turns to 3-D GPS systems to boost efficiency

Lowder Site Contractor of Winston-Salem, N.C., recently acquired its first four 3-D GPS machine control systems. Owner Gene Lowder said the system allowed the company to become more efficient while maintaining its current number of employees. "I explored it. Started asking questions. And, I soon recognized that no one in my area had yet purchased a system, and that became a big motivator. I wanted to be the first one off the line," Lowder noted.
