O3b Networks wants to beam broadband to rural areas

O3b Networks, which is being backed by Google, Liberty Global and HSBC Holdings, is undertaking a project to bring broadband services to remote and rural countries via a satellite network. "This is about opening the Internet up to the other three billion people," O3b Networks founder Greg Wyler said.
