Ohio Society of CPAs opens doors for minority students

09/9/2008

To give minority students the opportunity to explore careers in the accounting profession, the Ohio Society of CPAs completed its 13th annual Accounting Careers Awareness Program. Along with the Ohio chapters of the National Association of Black Accountants and Ohio State University, the society invited 35 of the state's top minority high school students to participate in the weeklong residency program. All students attended the program free of charge, thanks to donations from CPA firms and corporations.
