Paralympic Games bring new accessibility to Chinese with disabilities

As athletes with physical disabilities from 148 countries begin to compete in the Beijing Paralympic Games, the Chinese government said it will retain many of the city's improvements to accessibility. "Caring for [people with disabilities] is an important symbol for social civilization and progress," said Chinese President Hu Jintao as the Paralympic Games opened Saturday.
