U.N. agency faults speculators for high prices

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development said in a report last week that commodity speculation "may have become excessive, amplifying price movements to such an extent that they no longer reflect market fundamentals." The report pointed to record commodity trading around the world, suggesting that greater regulation is needed.
