Once-banned book in Russia is now part of school curriculum

A book that was once banned in Russia for having an anti-Communist message has become required reading for the country's secondary-school students. Portions of "The Gulag Archipelago", Alexander Solzhenitsyn's 1973 book, will be part of school curriculum, according to education officials.
