Research: High-school grades are best predictor of college success

Research shows that factors such as race, parents' education and social status are indicators of how well students will perform in school -- and how likely they will be to move on to higher education and graduate. However, the biggest indicator of how well students will do in college is how they perform in high school, regardless of which high school they attend.
