Airlines mum on possible lawsuit over O'Hare's $1B bond issue

Chicago on Wednesday formally approved $1 billion in bonds to continue the expansion of O'Hare Airport, despite acknowledging the possibility that airlines may sue over the bond issue, which they view as a breach of contract. Airlines declined to make any immediate comment about possible legal action. "We continue to be in discussions with the city about reaching a fiscally responsible plan to improve O'Hare," said a spokeswoman for United Airlines, which maintains a major hub at O'Hare.
