EPA seeks disclosure of chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing

The Environmental Protection Agency has urged oil and natural gas companies to disclose the chemicals they use in hydraulic fracturing. The agency says such input is necessary to finalize its review of fracking. "By sharing information about the chemicals and methods they are using, these companies will help us make a thorough and efficient review of hydraulic fracturing and determine the best path forward," said EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.
