HEI Hospitality warns of data breach possibly affecting 3,400 customers

Upscale hotel owner and operator HEI Hospitality says point-of-sale systems at several of its hotels were breached earlier this year, allowing the possible illegal access by computer hackers to guests' private credit card information. The company said as many as 3,400 customer could have been affected, and in letters to the customers, HEI noted there are no reports of credit card misuse so far.
