Study: It's not too late to stop climate change

If the world stopped actively increasing emissions from new power plants, automobiles and factories, it might be possible to avoid the worst consequences of climate change, according to a study. Researchers believe if the international community stuck to its existing fossil-fuel infrastructure, greenhouse-gas concentrations would remain beneath critical levels and the average global temperature wouldn't increase by more than a couple of degrees.
