T-Mobile taps the G2 as the leadoff HSPA+ phone in the U.S.

T-Mobile USA has tapped the Android-based G2, a device loaded with Google software and applications, as the first device targeted for use on its advanced 3G HSPA+ network. At launch, the G2 will represent T-Mobile's most powerful phone that is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard and is designed to compete with the Samsung Vibrant.
