University to experiment with a social-media detox week

Students at Pennsylvania's Harrisburg University of Science and Technology will undergo a weeklong social-media detox when the provost blocks all social websites and applications from computers connected to the school network. While students' access to sites such as Facebook will be blocked on the network, they will still have access on their smartphones or other personal mobile devices.
