More employees are putting in extra effort at work this year, according to a survey by the Corporate Executive Board's Corporate Leadership Council. The trend was particularly strong among finance and accounting professionals in the U.S., the global study found. One reason could be companies' recent efforts to increase employee engagement following the recession. "Now that companies are starting to figure out a new management style, they're more able to drive employees toward the right behaviors," CLC Managing Director Brian Kropp says.
