Good SMS marketing is relevant and strategically planned

Keeping the message short and relevant and taking advantage of the unique appeal of SMS messaging were among the bits of advice emerging from the Mobile Marketing Summit conference in New York. Above all, it's important to have a strategy in mind before asking consumers to sign up for SMS appeals. "If you ask people to opt-in, make sure you plan a program to include them," said Matthew Valleskey, director of marketing, mobile and registry services at Neustar.
