Advocate Health Care info breach sparks lawsuit

Advocate Health Care is facing a class-action lawsuit over the theft of four unencrypted laptops containing personal data on more than 4 million people. Social Security numbers, patient names and health insurance information were among the types of data compromised. Plaintiffs Erica Tierney and Andris Strautins say the organization failed to implement needed cybersecurity protocols, policies and procedures to secure patients' information.
