Cargill, Evolva move forward on non-stevia sweetener

Cargill and Evolva are working together to develop a zero-calorie sweetener by fermenting low-cost plant sugars. The fermentation-based steviol glycosides are meant to lower the cost of high-intensity sweeteners without calories.
