Disappointing jobs numbers fuel Fed policy uncertainty

A worse-than-expected jobs report Friday left many in the industry wondering about assumptions that the Federal Reserve could begin tapering its bond-buying program this month. On Friday, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Richard Fisher spoke in favor of beginning the process, while Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Charles Evans expressed reservations. Both noted uncertainty about what policy the Fed would actually implement later this month.
