Elephant tramples U.S. tourist in Tanzania

American Thomas Vardon McAfee was killed by an elephant during a walk outside Tanzania's Tarangire National Park last week. McAfee, an experienced traveler who had visited Africa before, and two friends happened upon a herd of 50 elephants. They ran, but McAfee reportedly fell and was trampled by one of the elephants.
