Farmers want high court to hear case involving Monsanto patents

A group of farmers and other interested parties are appealing a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in a case involving biotechnology company Monsanto. The farmers originally brought the case to prevent Monsanto from suing them for patent infringement. The court upheld an earlier ruling that found that Monsanto had already stated it would not sue farmers who did not intentionally violate its patents.
