Healthy Zone program expands to 51 North Texas schools

The Healthy Zone School Recognition Program in North Texas this year is expanding to 51 schools and will reach more than 30,000 students. The program, run through the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and the Cooper Institute, recognizes schools that create an environment that encourages student wellness. Dr. Kenneth Cooper said data show physical fitness assessment measurements have increased by 31% since the program began.
