In a shift from its all-you-can-eat salads and Never Ending Pasta Bowls, Darden Restaurants-owned Olive Garden will launch a new small-plate menu nationwide in December, after testing it in several U.S. cities. The launch comes about six months after the chain developed recipes such as Parmesan asparagus and grilled-chicken tapas in an effort to appeal to millennials, who don't tend to mark special occasions with big meals. "They're looking for items they can share, sample, that allow them to graze," said Technomic's Darren Tristano.
