PayPal offers hands-free retail purchases

A small Bluetooth device that plugs into a standard wall outlet is part of PayPal's mobile payments solution for retailers. Shoppers would authorize their PayPal mobile application to check them in at participating stores, allowing them to make purchases with a simple verbal acknowledgment. "We wanted to make something easier than swiping a credit card, and that's doing nothing," said PayPal spokesman Anuj Nayar.
