Prince was hardly treated like a king near Buckingham Palace

Police guarding Buckingham Palace intercepted a suspicious character strolling the grounds -- only to discover, after demanding ID, that the man in question was Prince Andrew, the Duke of York and the son of Queen Elizabeth II. Officers denied pointing guns at the royal scion, but admitted that a confrontation took place. "To describe the duke as unhappy and the two officers as highly embarrassed is the biggest understatement of the century," one reporter said.
