Royal Dutch Shell expects to be better prepared to drill off the Alaskan coast after it accepted tough emission limits for its operations and a fine worth $1.1 million for environmental violations. "Following a season of operations, we now better understand how emissions control equipment actually functions in Arctic conditions," said Shell spokesman Curtis Smith.
