California elementary school's allergy accommodation under fire

Kindergarten parents at Valle Verde Elementary School in Walnut Creek, Calif., are protesting lunchbag searches and the hiring of a 30-hours-a week health aide, which are among the moves school officials have taken to accommodate a student with a severe allergy to peanuts. Some parents are urging a one-day boycott, which would result in the loss of some state funding for the Mt. Diablo School District.
