Economic upswing means employers need to offer more to retain workers

With the rebounding economy, perks are making their way back into the workplace as employers work to attract and retain the best employees available. Figures show the number of workers planning to stay in their current position has dropped to 59% this year from 62% in 2003, and employers, especially in the health care industry, have realized they need more than good salaries to stay competitive, experts say.
