Lilly vigorously defends Zyprexa against lawyers

Eli Lilly's schizophrenia drug is the market's top seller, but concerns over diabetes risks tied to the drug have brought trial lawyer involvement, prompting Lilly to send a letter to doctors saying the company will help those targeted by personal injury lawyers to defend themselves. One lawyer said most cases are focusing on Lilly, but the company said it would provide sued doctors with scientific expertise, assistance in locating experts and coordination with counsel.
