Massachusetts may become tenth state to allow dissection alternatives

Yesterday, the Massachusetts Legislature passed a measure allowing students who oppose dissection to study anatomy through computer software programs. Gov. Mitt Romney vetoed similar legislation earlier this year on the grounds it would send a negative message about animal research and because the state curriculum already permitted alternatives to dissection.
