Environmentalists question Seattle dredging project

Plans for a dredging project in Seattle that would involve dumping 66,000 cubic yards of PCB-contaminated mud into Elliott Bay has some environmentalists in the city crying foul. The mud containing the PCBs, where were banned in the 1970s, would be dredged from an area being studied for cleanup as part of the Harbor Island Superfund Site.
