Report: Military recruiters given free rein in NYC schools

Surveys of nearly 1,000 New York City students indicated military recruiters may frequently be allowed into classes despite district regulations, according to a New York Civil Liberties Union report released Friday. "This is something that must be stopped," said Scott M. Stringer, the Manhattan borough president. "It's outrageous, and it gives recruiters a captive audience."
