Romney proposes tax cut, targets middle class

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a Republican presidential candidate, unveiled a tax cut plan during campaign stops in New Hampshire on Friday. Romney said the tax cut, which would eliminate taxes on income from interest, dividends and capital gains, was targeted at those earning less than $200,000 a year. Critics said while middle-class families would benefit, the biggest savings would go to the wealthy.
