AOL is the fourth most-visited U.S. Web site according to comScore Media Metrix data, with 111.4 million unique visitors in July, but that number is down slightly on a year-over-year basis. The portal is trying to reconnect with users after its switch to a free ad-supported model by offering users more links to the wider Web, rather than focusing on AOL content.
