Bonds bounce back on Fannie, Freddie rescue

Bonds got a boost from news of the government's takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Mortgage-backed securities have regained favor with investors and got a big bounce as details of the rescue plan emerged. "With what just happened we'll start purchasing those bonds again for our clients," said Dennis J. Barba, managing partner of the Oxford Group of Raymond James Associates.
