Continental to lose more than 300 pilots

The Air Line Pilots Association says Continental Airlines will cut 363 pilots from its payroll, although nearly 140 jobs were spared when pilots agreed to trim their work hours. According to the union, Continental furloughed 148 pilots, while 215 will take either leaves or early retirement. The cuts are part of Continental's efforts to deal with higher prices for jet fuel.
